About Unalp Law Inc.
Planning Beyond the Paper
“The firm also focuses on more than financial assets. The planning process is designed to help families pass on intellectual, spiritual, and human assets, including values, guidance, and wisdom that are often lost when someone passes.”
- Founder Jeff Unalp

The Firm’s Story
Founded to Support Families
Jeff Unalp built his practice with a simple focus: helping people make thoughtful choices about matters that will affect their lives, families, and futures.
“On a personal note, I am a father and a grandfather. That perspective reinforces one truth: Estate planning is not for you. It is for the people you love and the ones who will carry the responsibility when you are gone.”
Early in his career as a CPA, Jeff spent years inside businesses and alongside legal teams. Later, he experienced firsthand how little guidance families can be given when planning, and how costly that gap can be.
Jeff’s background in tax, business, and law allows him to see the full picture, and that perspective helps clients slow down, ask better questions, and make decisions they can feel confident about, whether they are planning for family, business, or both.
A Team Committed to Your Plan and Your Future
Our Team
Clients often ask what happens after the planning process is complete. Who they will contact? Will their plan will be revisited? And how changes in family, business, or finances are handled?
The firm operates with a team structure that supports ongoing guidance. Legal, tax, and practical considerations are addressed together, with built-in follow-ups and regular plan reviews to reflect life changes.
- Clients are supported by a dedicated Paralegal and a Director of Operations
- Questions are addressed promptly, and clients are able to reach someone when they need help
- Follow-up and responsiveness are built into the process, not treated as an afterthought
We are always here to help, and we have built our team to make life’s biggest decisions just a little easier.

What Sets the Firm Apart
The process here is intentionally different. Planning is treated as an ongoing relationship, not a one-time transaction.
We Look at the Whole Picture
Jeff’s background as both a CPA and an attorney means legal, tax, and business considerations are looked at together, so plans are ready to work in the real world.
No Clock Running in the Background
Planning here is not billed by the hour. Fees are agreed to upfront, which gives clients the space to ask questions, think things through, and have honest conversations without worrying about how long the meeting lasts.
We Stay Involved
Clients are not handed documents and sent on their way. The team follows up, stays accessible, and checks in as life changes. The goal is for clients to always know who to call and what comes next.
Committed to the California Communities We Serve
This work is rooted in the people who live, work, and build their lives here.
Families planning for what comes next. Business owners creating something they want to last. Nonprofit leaders trying to do good work and do it the right way.
The goal is not just to solve a legal issue and move on. It is to help create continuity. When families plan thoughtfully, the next generation is spared uncertainty. When businesses are structured well, they are better positioned to grow, employ others, and stay part of the community. When nonprofits are supported and compliant, they can better focus on their mission.
Community commitment shows up in the small things. Being available. Following through. Staying involved as situations change.
We are here to help. One family at a time. One business at a time.
